Interview with Gary Winckler

In this interview, Tom Crick talks to Gary Winckler about training for the short and long hurdles.

Gary recently retired from his position as head coach of University of Illinois women’s track and field team after a distinguished career in the NCAAs. Since 1992 athletes under Gary’s direction have competed in every World Championships and Olympic Games and won medals of every color. Among these include Yvonne Harrison, Tonya Buford-Bailey (who famously broke the world record in the 400m hurdles only to come second to Kim Batten, at the 1995 world championships in Gothenburg) as well as 2003 100m hurdles World Champion Perdita Felicien.
