This presentation by International classifier Penny Broomhead gives an overview and explanation of the role of classification in competition, IPC Athletics classification classes and the process of classification in the UK. It is supported by a downloadable Classification Factsheet which gives information for clubs, coaches and athletes on minimal eligibility criteria for classification, the different Paralympic classes and how and when to get classified in the UK.

PLEASE NOTE IPC rules for classification have changed (Jan 2014) and the F58 class no longer exists. Please refer to the IPC website for further details.
