Jacques Borlee: Posture & Biomechanics in the 400m Part 1

Whilst his children Kevin, Johnathan and Olivia have enjoyed huge success on the international stage their coach and father Jacques Borlee has forged a burgeoning reputation for delivering high performance.

A former 400m runner himself, the Belgian Borlee has overseen Jonathan make the Olympic semi-final in the 400m, Kevin win the 2010 European 400m title, and Olivia winning a World Championship bronze medal and an Olympic silver medal in the 4x100m. Together with Biomechanist and translator Frank De Witte, In this first of a two part series Borlee discusses how good posture and efficient biomechanics can aid high performance athletes and, more importantly, how to recognise and correct flaws in technique.
