Loren Seagrave: Practical Session Horizontal Jumps (Part 2)

In Part 2 of this series, Loren Seagrave leads a hands-on training session where he takes four horizontal jumpers through a series of exercises designed to prepare their bodies specifically for the session ahead before working through a series of exercises he uses to develop acceleration mechanics on the runway for his horizontal jumpers.

Seagrave has won four NCAA Track and Field national championships at Louisiana State University and has worked with over fifty Olympic and World Championship medalists, National and World record holders, and Collegiate All-Americans.  Amongst his charges have been Donovan Bailey, Andre Cason, Dawn Sowell, Sheila Echols, and Gwen Torrence. Coach Seagrave's coaching experience includes other sports such ;as football, baseball, soccer, basketball, and ice hockey. Since 1998 he has worked as a speed and conditioning coach with the Atlanta Falcons, and has consulted regularly with the Detroit Lions, Jacksonville Jaguars, and other NFL teams. Amongst others he is currently working with British sprinter Joice Maduaka and long jump world champion Dwight Phillips.
