Rudi Diels: Analysis of Elite Sprinters (Part 1)

Rudi Diels presents on the starting mechanics of elite sprinters. He discusses the sprint start of Kim Gevaert and shows the measureable effects of training. He covers such subjects as the effect of body composition on performance, importance of a good medical team and an in-depth analysis of rehabilitation programmes used to come back from achilles and from hamstring injuries.

Rudi Diels is personal coach to Belgian sprinter Kim Gevaert, who has won 27 Belgian titles and participated in 2 Olympic Games. He was also national 4 x 100m relay coach leading the Belgian team to a Bronze at the World Championships in Osaka in 2007 and a silver at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. He is also head coach of the Belgian National Womens Bobsleigh team and has been a lecturer at Hogeschool-Universeteit Brussel for more than 10 years.
